Noble Campers
Only a couple of weeks away ‘til submissions are due. Your Coaches have been busy answering calls and we would like to share some common answers to questions that have been coming in from the boldest adventure seekers.
You must submit your entry twice. One slated and one unslated.
The slated version should have your “Lev” like portrait, and the slate element we provided you has an alpha channel to do this easily. Reference below, please be sure you DID NOT download the old slate.

EDITING: All footage used must be from the film itself, but you may graphically enhance, manipulate, color, or alter the film/films footage in any way you like as well as create titles or images graphically. There is one exception to this that's been used many times in the competitions past, which is an upfront or ending studio ID, since it’s not so much part of any one film but usually the same element on many films. (for example MGM, or Disney) so it’s fine to use these. As for music - you may use any music you want, even if it’s from another movie's soundtrack. MusicBed has a special Camp K offer here too. Pick your genre from the list provided, and make sure it’s truly different from your footage film/films genre. You're creating an advertisement for a film that does not exist - make people want to go see it.
GRAPHICS: You may use anything from the film in addition to the graphic design you create. You're creating a title sequence based on your interpretation/impression of the film. The title sequence should function as a device to prepare and position the audience for the film that follows. MusicBed's Camp K special is also available to you if you're in need of some stock music, but like the Editing category you can use any music.
SOUND DESIGN: Sound effects, original foley, recorded dialogue and voiceover, music (MusicBed) - all good… you can retain the original dialogue if you choose, but original sfx and music must be replaced and re-designed by you. Do not mimic the original sound design. Your new sound design should feel as different from the original as possible, in essence “change its context and/or intent”. It doesn’t have to reference the original story. IMPORTANT NOTE: Sound Design entrants MUST supply the orig scene with original audio at the end of their unsalted entry because the judges need some reference to see how you have taken a direction different from the original.
MUSIC: You can use all audio from the film itself, but the music must be composed by you, and not a cover of a song you like. It has to be a score to the picture. You're scoring a scene based on your interpretation/impression of the actual film.

Only 11 days till the deadline!!!
Even in the face of challenges, Camp K is a place where dreams are made and magic is real. Here's the thing about pressure: it has a unique way of pushing us beyond our perceived limits. When we're under a tight deadline or faced with a sudden challenge, we often tap into reserves of creativity, focus, and determination that we didn't even know we had. It's like a hidden superpower that emerges when we need it most.
