To All The Mighty Assistants of Post Production: Camp K 2021

As we enter the second week of this hot, hot August, the gates of Camp Kuleshov have been open to all for two weeks. Sure, up until this time we’ve had a gap year at Camp K, although we like to think of it as a sabbatical that fed a deep well of creativity waiting to be resourced for amazing work for all to see. That’s right, we want to see that work. That’s what Camp K is all about - the incredible opportunity to step forward and show the entire Post community what truly inspired work looks like. All you need to do is reach down deep and make a trailer for a movie that doesn’t exist, weave beautiful layers of audio that allow the picture to tell a totally new story, or create a magical entrance into a film that never had one. For years, past Camp K alumni have done exactly this, and enjoyed the benefits of rapturous praise from peers and elders.

If there is one secret to why we do what we do in post, it’s that we’re just looking for a response. It’s been a long 24 months since the hallowed grounds of CK have been occupied. That’s a long time for no reaction from the crowd. Get your response!
